About Kelly

Kelly is our Practice Manager and works closely alongside our Director and Principal Clinical Psychologist, Melissa Kent, to lead the day-to-day operations of The Glow Centre. Since joining the practice in 2018, Kelly has played an integral role in shaping the systems, processes, and client experience that underpin the care we provide. Working in close partnership with Melissa, Kelly helps ensure that the warmth, professionalism, and high standards that define The Glow Centre are reflected not only in the therapy room, but in every aspect of the client experience.

With more than two decades of experience in administration, management, and customer service, Kelly brings organisation, warmth, and attention to detail to everything she does. She has always believed that high-quality psychological care extends beyond the therapy room.

Kelly feels that every interaction — whether it's a phone call, an email, or a warm welcome — is an opportunity to help someone feel seen, valued, and at ease. She is passionate about creating a practice experience that reflects The Glow Centre's values from the very first interaction. This is reflected in the way that clients are welcomed, how they're communicated with, the environment they walk into, and the confidence they have that every detail has been thoughtfully considered.

This care also extends directly to the physical environment. Kelly works thoughtfully to curate and maintain a practice space that feels soft, calm, and welcoming, ensuring the physical surroundings offer a sense of safety and comfort from the moment someone steps inside. Because of this intentional care, clients often tell us they feel more calm and at ease when they walk through our doors. Kelly believes these moments matter. She knows that when people feel safe, welcomed, and genuinely cared for from the very beginning, they're better able to engage in the therapeutic journey that follows.

Working closely with Melissa, Kelly oversees the many moving parts of the practice, ensuring our clinicians are well supported and able to focus on delivering quality psychological care. From refining systems and guiding new client intakes to continually improving the client journey, she is dedicated to creating an experience that reflects The Glow Centre's values of compassion, professionalism, and genuine connection.

Kelly feels privileged to work alongside a team that is deeply committed to making a meaningful difference in people's lives and takes great pride in helping create an environment where both clients and clinicians can thrive.

Let's get to know Kelly

Q. What do you like about your job?
A. As cliché as it may sound, I enjoy being part of our client’s therapy journey. It takes courage to reach out for mental health assistance, and I really respect that. That’s why I strive to make the client experience a positive and meaningful one, right from the first enquiry phone call or email. I also feel really lucky to be part of a team of genuinely wonderful people, all of whom are here because they want to be, and they want to see their clients make meaningful change in their lives. We all enjoy each other’s company and having a laugh.

Q. How long have you worked at The Glow Centre?
A. I joined the team in 2018, back when we were known as Melissa Kent Psychology. I’ll be celebrating my 8 year work anniversary in November!

Q. Do you use psychology strategies in your everyday life?
A. Yep! I’m big on mindfulness. My go-to when I’m feeling anxious is to practice mindful breathing or do a body scan. It makes me feel more calm and clears my mind.

Q. Favourite food?
A. I can never commit to a favourite anything (ask anyone at the practice about my indecisiveness!). But I do love pizza, sushi and chocolate. And not technically food, but I love good coffee.

Q. Do you have any pets?
A. I have two rescue cats who provide loads of comedy value with their antics, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m always trying to convince my family that we should get a third cat…

Q. What do you like to do in your spare time?
A. I love plants and enjoy wandering around nurseries - it's so calming. I also love vintage shopping, live music, true crime podcasts, and interior decorating.

"Trust the timing of your life"

About Ella

Ella has long been drawn to supporting people with their mental health. Her first experience in the field was working in equine therapy, assisting children through a unique and healing process. This early work gave her valuable insight into resilience and developed her natural ability to help others feel safe and at ease.

Guided by our practice's high operational standards, Ella brings this same gentle, attentive care to her role at our front desk. She is dedicated to contributing to our warm, respectful, and client-focused environment, seamlessly supporting our clients and clinicians so that the practice runs smoothly every day.

Let's get to know Ella

Q. Do you use psychology strategies in your everyday life?

A. Yes, I have experience with equine therapy and I now use strategies I've learned to help me overcome issues that pop up in my life.

Q. Favourite food?

Italian and seafood, put the 2 together and I’m in heaven!

Q. Do you have any pets?

I have lots of pets. My horse, Ruby has given me so much strength and courage. And my dogs Dusty, Tilly and Trevor, who love me unconditionally.

Q. What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love just sitting in the paddock and talking to my horse. Being outside in the fresh air is where I belong. I love spending time with the dogs. I also have a nephew, who I adore, so any time spent with him is cherished.
