Telehealth

We offer therapy via telehealth for times when our clients cannot attend in person but do not want to delay their treatment. Telehealth is therapy delivered online, using a secure platform. When you have a telehealth appointment, we send you a session link via email which will take you directly to the telehealth session at the time of your appointment. 

If you are a new client, we always prefer to see you in person for your initial session, we can then discuss booking your subsequent sessions via telehealth if this is suitable to your therapy plan.

In preparing a space for a telehealth session, we ask clients to think about how they can set up a quiet and private space, and turn off any online notifications which may be distracting. Our clinicians will also discuss back up options in case there are any connection issues.

Tips for ensuring that you get the most out of your telehealth session:

  • Treat the online session the same as you would an in person session (e.g. remain seated and avoid using other devices whilst in session).  This will assist both you and your therapist to remain focused on the session content.

  • Ensure good internet connection

  • Ensure camera and microphone are on and working

  • Headphones are a good option for privacy

  • Find a quiet space to conduct your session

  • Enable any do not disturb functions on your devices whilst you are in session
