COVID-19 information

The Glow Centre is an essential service that is committed to providing same quality services and psychological support to our clients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We continue to adjust the way we work in line with the latest Queensland Government public health requirements.

Update as at 23 November 2021

We would like to provide you with an important update regarding mask wearing, and other precautions we are taking to keep our staff and clients safe at The Glow Centre.

1. Masks are no longer mandatory, so it is no longer a condition of entry to The Glow Centre that you wear a mask. However we ask that you bring one with you and use it in case you cannot maintain 1.5 metres from others. This includes group sessions. Although masks are no longer mandatory, you are welcome to continue wearing one if you wish, and some of our staff may choose to do so also. In the event that the Queensland government changes these conditions, we will adopt their recommendations.

2. We are taking many precautions at The Glow Centre, to try and keep our staff and clients safe from COVID-19. The precautions include:

  • Hourly COVID cleaning

  • Deep cleaning at the end of every day

  • Using air purifiers

  • Providing hand sanitiser upon entry, in reception, and in all consulting rooms

  • Providing soap and paper towels in bathrooms

  • Monitoring physical distance (1.5m) between staff, clients and visitors

  • Displaying educational materials about hand hygiene, cough etiquette, and the symptoms of COVID-19.

3. We also ask that you take as many precautions as you can, to keep yourself and our staff safe. These include:

  • Not attending your appointment face-to-face if you are unwell, experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19, or have been tested for COVID-19 and are awaiting results

  • If you would like to change your appointment to a telehealth (video) session, please contact us minimum 1 business hour prior to your appointment time to enable us to make the necessary changes

  • Please note: telehealth is not available for group sessions.

4. When attending The Glow Centre in person, we ask that you:

  • Arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment time

  • Use hand sanitiser or wash hands before entering

  • Check in using the Queensland Government COVID-19 Check-in App

  • Maintain physical distancing of 1.5m between yourself and others

  • Adhere to good hygiene when sneezing or coughing

  • Advise guests to drop you off and return to collect you later

  • Follow other health and safety instructions by our staff, if required.

Please speak to your clinician or our Client Relations Team if you have any questions about these precautions.
